The Peace-building Power of Scripture Telling

Biblical Storytelling Festival

April 9-11, 2021

Well, after booking a few more of the workshop leaders and seeing the amazing and diverse line-up we have for this festival, I am even more enthused than ever about it! There will be many ways into learning and telling - or simply listening and engaging - in scripture and story by heart.

Here is a taste: Tom and Amelia Boomershine (founder/teacher of the Biblical Storytelling Movement) Ray Aldred (Director of Indigenous Studies at VST), Alf Dumont (Anishinaabe Elder, Author of The Other Side of the River), Ivan Gregan (Story and Learning by Heart in the Celtic Tradition), Linnea Good (Biblical Storyteller extraordinaire, and Event Host), Randy Ritz (Drama Prof), Deborah Williams (Actor, Playwright, Director, Host of The Flame storytelling event), many amazing biblical storytellers, worship and praise, workshops for newcomers, workshops for experienced tellers, and the Epic Telling of the Gospel of Mark! Wow!

This ecumenical event is sponsored by the Network of Biblical Storytellers CANADA and LeaderShift (PMRC). The cost is $50 per person. A group rate of $25/ person when coming with 5 or more is available across the registration window (no date restrictions on group rate).

And...it will be recorded so that you can go back and listen to presentations you missed!
