Did you know? One of the stained glass windows from the Como Lake United Sanctuary will be brought forward into the new building!

Last week in Rev. Leenanes All Saints sermon, she offered the image of stained glass to say that saints are people through whom Gods light shines. How true that is of YOU, the saints at Como Lake congregation!

November 8th On this Sunday, the nearest to Remembrance Day, we take some time at the beginning of the service, to observe silence and hear some words and music for remembrance. Since our 3 congregations have different ways of marking this day, we hope that you will sense the Spirit moving through this collaborative offering.

Theme Guidepost for November 8th: Cultivating Intuition and Trusting Faith

How would you explain intuition...or faith? How do you live it?

Here are the definitions that Brene Brown suggests in book The Gifts of Imperfection:

Intuition is not a single way of knowingit is our ability to hold space for uncertainty and our willingness to trust the many ways weve developed knowledge and insight, including instinct, experience, faith, and reason. (page 89)

Faith is a place of mystery; where we find the courage to believe what we cannot see and the strength to let go of our fear of uncertainty. (page 90)

The Scripture this week has a lot to say about faith: Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1-3, 8-12, 23-27.

Tune in Sunday or some time throughout the week and reflect on your own lived faith!
