Rev. Jan Bihl

As with so many United Churches today, the faith community at Como Lake finds itself at a transformational choice point, facing key issues that will shape its future: repurposing of property for a new time; considering the kind of investments of resources that will respond to congregational vision; discerning staffing needs in the context of emerging opportunities; embracing Eldering initiatives while building relationship with a younger demographic; and building on the visions, passion, and Spirit-inspired legacy of an aging congregation.

For healthy congregations the conversation is not about survival; it is about a vital and transformed future that looks very different from old and unworkable forms of United Church life. Here we are at a critical choice point! There are many kinds of questions we will ask as we spend this time together in a process of active conversation and listening, discerning always where we are being called by Spirit, and being together in a way that embodies all that we know about the transformative Way of Jesus.

All members and adherents of the congregation are welcome to participate in this full day event. The more, the livelier!
