Things are moving along nicely on our Marmont and King Albert property. During the “hole digging” process you could see daily changes and get a good idea how large that piece of property really is. Drop by the site and peek through the fence or check out the photos Dave McCutcheon has displayed in the St. Laurence main hall. The dirt walls have been secured with rebar and sprayed concrete and some large concrete blocks are in place at the east wall. All this earth moving is in preparation for the foundation and a very important part of the overall process.
Our Regional Property repurposing advisor, Terry Harrison, will be forwarding to us the monthly construction site field reports from which we will extract some Reliable Rumor material to pass on to the congregation.
The Vancouver Sun ran two interesting and well researched articles recently titled “Houses of the Holy” and “Churches Doing Their Best to Plug Housing Gap”. The articles featured a number of current church rebuilding projects in the lower mainland, are on display in St. Laurence’s main hall and a good read.
Please keep the team of Colliers International, JBR Construction, VIA Architects and Terry Harrison in your prayers as they continue to work on our behalf.
