Ways to Give

Growing our Faith Through Generosity

It takes money to grow our faith.  Everything we have is gift. In gratitude, we respond through our care for creation and for all people.

Our giving is a reflection of our relationship with God and an acknowledgement of gratitude for the light and love brought into our life.  We welcome your contribution to our church as a sign of your gratefulness for life’s many blessings and your gratitude and commitment to the ministry here. Giving allows you to partner with the Church to love, connect, serve, and make a difference in the world.

How do I give?

We offer the opportunity to give to the life of the church during every worship service.

For those who prefer to make a regular donation directly into the offering box at worship, we provide personalized giving envelopes (with a giving number to track your gifts for tax receipt purposes.) Some prefer to give weekly and others monthly.

Occasional giving envelopes are available in the pews and by the offering box for occasional donations.

Regular giving is facilitated by PAR (Pre-Authorized Remittance) or by giving envelopes. PAR involves an automatic debit to your bank account and allows you to allocate your giving.  To sign up for PAR, contact the office via email [email protected] or by calling Susan at 604-931-8555. For those  who have given by PAR, who would still  like to deposit something in the offering box,  there are printed cards that indicate your use of PAR at the offering table.

You can also donate online through PayPal by clicking the donate button…

How much do I give?

We encourage our congregation to give to the church according to equal generosity, not equal amounts, so giving a portion or percentage is a helpful guideline.  We’ve been amazed at how generous people can be when they believe in what they are supporting.

Leaving a Legacy to Como Lake United

After you have remembered your loved ones, consider including our church in your will.  Whether your estate is large or small, a bequest to Como Lake United Church can have a substantial impact.  Writing or changing your will is not the overwhelming task you might imagine, but we do recommend that you use the services of a legal professional.  You can choose a specific dollar amount, or a specified percentage of the residue of your estate as part of your legacy.

Be sure to specify Como Lake United Church, 825 St. Laurence St. Coquitlam, BC to ensure that it comes to the right place. This is our temporary address until our new building is completed at Marmont and King Albert in Coquitlam.
