Baptism

Baptism

If you are reading this as a parent...

No matter how much you know or don’t know about the meaning of baptism, your instinct to want it for your children is a good one. That's where we want to begin - by affirming you as parents who desire something good for your children.

Parents who wish their children to be baptized will meet with the minister for preparation sessions that focus on the promises of baptism. Parents will be asked to promise to raise their children in a Christian context, to join in Worship, to confirm and nurture their own faith as well as their children’s faith, and to share in the mission and service of Christ.

If you are interested in baptism for yourself...

It is not uncommon for older children, young people or adults in every stage of life to be baptized. Sometimes parents are baptized along with their children. It is a holy nudge that has brought you to this place in your life, and God's blessing awaits you in the sacrament of Christian Baptism. Adults who choose to be baptized or reaffirm their faith will join in preparation sessions with the minister prior to a Baptism service.

We look forward to being part of this significant milestone in the Christian life. As Baptism designates membership and a commitment, services are only held during Church Worship, except in rare circumstances.
